What our supporters are doing

Experience Africa with Self Help

Self Help Africa is organising field visits for our supporters to Uganda in Autumn, 2009.

These trips provide our supporters with a unique opportunity to experience Africa, while lending funding support for the work that Self Help Africa is doing in the country.

For the past decade we have been organising fund-raising field visits, which have enabled hundreds of our supporters to see the programmes, meet the communities, and get an opportunity to experience this incredible continent and its people.

The number of participants we will take on each of these visits is 15 people, each of whom is required to raise at least €5,000.

Our pledge is that least 50% of this sum will be directed invested in our African programmes, with the balance going to cover flights, accommodation, and other costs associated with the trip.

The provisional dates for these field visits are : Friday, 16th to Sunday 24th October and from Friday 23rd to Sunday 31st October.

Experience Uganda

Self Help Africa will bring a group of our fund-raising supporters to Uganda this Autumn.

The trip will take place in late October, and will give our supporters a unique opportunity to visit this remarkable country.

Visitors will get a chance to meet the communities with whom Self Help has been working, see for themselves the impact of that work for themselves, and get the opportunity to support the programmes that Self Help is implementing in partnership with local people.
